2025 Critics Choice Awards postponed due to Los Angeles fires

Hollywood takes a break as the community faces heartbreaking wildfires.

The 2025 Critics Choice Awards, originally scheduled to air on E! January 12 with host Chelsea managerhave been postponed to January 26. The rescheduled event will remain at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, with Handler as emcee.

“This unfolding tragedy has already had a profound impact on our community,” said CCA CEO. Joey Berlin said in a statement on January 8. “All of our thoughts and prayers are with those battling the devastating fires and all those who have been affected.”

The announcement comes as the Pacific Palisades fires in Pasadena continue to destroy homes and businesses throughout the Los Angeles area, resulting in two deaths, the Los Angeles County fire chief said. Anthony C. Marrone ” confirmed on January 8, adding that the high winds “put everyone in Los Angeles County at risk.”

Amid the devastation, many residents, including Jamie Lee Curtisspoke about their beloved city.
