Jeremy Renner don't take your life for granted.
The Marvel star, 53, touchingly shared her gratitude Instagram post uploaded on Wednesday, Jan. 1 as he reflected on the snow plow accident that nearly killed him two years ago.
Renner was rushed to the hospital and subsequently broke more than 30 bones is compressed with a snowplow at his Nevada home on New Year's Day 2023. In the caption of the Instagram post, the actor commemorated the two-year anniversary of the near-fatal incident.
“Happy New Year to you all… As I ring in my second 'Day of Rebirth' I express my love, respect and gratitude to the army of people it took to bring me back together,” he wrote.
“Thank you to every nurse, doctor, first responder… I literally owe you my life. With all my heart, I am happy for my handsome, brave nephew and the angels (my neighbors) who jumped to my aid and endured the chaos for 45 minutes on icy asphalt on New Year's morning. I'm so sorry for all the spooky pictures I've printed on you all (I'll spare you all the meat-grinding pictures)…”
He continued, “My list of gratitude is very long…. With the overwhelming amount of love and prayers pouring in from you all over the world (who need every single one of them), my family never leaving my side, with some divine intervention, a little luck and a lot of miracles… I stand. strong again. More open. More loved. More connected. And f-king BLESSED to take your next step to take YOUR NEXT BREATH. Thank you for every fiber and cell in my body. Love you ALL ❤️. #MyNextBreath.
Alongside the lengthy caption, Renner shared a post of himself in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
The January 2023 accident saw the actor crushed by a 14,330-pound PistenBully snowplow near his home while shoveling snow with his nephew.
The accident left Renner with more than 38 broken bones, including six broken ribs in 14 places, a broken tibia and a collapsed lung.
“I remember every ripple,” he told Men's health in July 2024. “I remember my head cracking against the thing and it just pinned me down — it's exactly what you think. An immovable object and a destructive force, and something has to give. But thank God my skull didn't give in completely.
