Jocelyn Wildensteinthe socialite known as 'Catwoman' starred in a reality TV show before her death, TMZ messages.
Wildenstein died on Tuesday, December 31 in Paris at the age of 84, her partner, Lloyd Kleinsaid.
On Wednesday, Jan. 1, after news of her death broke, TMZ reported that Wildenstein had been filming the reality project last year, citing production sources, though they said the show did not yet have a deal with the network.
According to the trade website, the show centered on Wildenstein's move from her home in Miami to Los Angeles and Klein's attempts to revive his fashion brand, Lloyd Klein Couture. The show is said to be different from HBO's docuseries, which Wildenstein first mentioned in a June 2023 interview with the UK channel. Sunday Times.
Klein said Wednesday AFP that the Swiss socialite died in Paris while staying at a luxury hotel after suffering a pulmonary embolism. According to the Mayo Clinic, a pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that “blocks and stops blood flow” in a pulmonary artery.
“The icon is gone,” Klein told the outlet, noting he was “pained” by the loss of Wildenstein.
Before her death, Wildenstein (born Jocelyn Perset) made headlines for herself extreme plastic surgery which made him cat-like. As a result of her work, she was nicknamed “Catwoman”.
After her first surgery in the late 1970s, fans began comparing Wildenstein's eye lift to that of a lynx she had as a pet.
Wildenstein was also known for her marriage to a billionaire art dealer Alex Wildenstein. The two married in 1978 and divorced in 1999. Their split and legal battle was widely covered in the media.
Alex said Vanity Fair at the time of the divorce, he had no say in how many surgeries his wife had, although he reportedly encouraged her to change her appearance.
“She was crazy. I'll always be the last to know,” he claimed The Times. “She thought she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin doesn't work that way. But she didn't listen.
Jocelyn said The Times In June 2023, Alex “hired a publicist and paid a plastic surgeon to certify that I had completely changed my face” so he could “win the divorce.”
Wildenstein is survived by her and Alec's children, a son, Alec Jr., and a daughter, Diana.
