Armie Hammer defends slavery love a year after controversy

Actor Army Hammer now proudly reveling in their servile love.

The Call Me By Your Name star recently revisited the shocking claims that brought his in-demand career to a halt nearly four years ago, clearing up some of the more “disturbing” cannibalism rumors while giving an insight into how the controversial ruse really makes him feel.

Speaking on the 'Your Mom's House' podcast, the entertainer, now 38, expressed how collective boredom during the pandemic led to widespread mischaracterization of his sexual desires.

“The world felt like it was falling apart,” he began, adding, “People were very unhappy with their lives. Then there's this nasty story where this actor wants to kill and eat people.”

“All of a sudden,” Hammer continued, “everyone's like, 'Oh, that's a lot more fun to focus on than the fact that I can't leave my living room.'

As personal texts about his disagreements “kept popping up and popping up” in the media, the Golden Globe-nominated performer soon realized how weird they made him sound.

“While you're saying it, you're laughing to yourself, like, 'I'm going to cut off your toe and keep it in my pocket so I can have a piece of you everywhere I go,'” Hammer noted.

“Then it's read in the court of public opinion and everyone says, 'You're insane.'

As the conversation continued, Hammer suggested that his descriptions of certain acts of cannibalism were more directly related to the “property” aspect of slavery.

“I love the idea that you are so completely mine,” he revealed, per AND! News.

“I can do whatever I want and you love it because you know you're mine. (It's) the kind of thing that's just fun to talk about,” the actor elaborated, “especially when you're drunk or stoned or late at night and you're texting.”

Hammer then compared his taboo desires to those that are more common, noting their common adult nature.

“If someone were to record some conversations in the bedroom,” he said, “especially if people were having a little bit of a sexy time, and they took what they said, even if it was completely vanilla, and read it somewhere else. in context, everybody says : 'You guys are disgusting.'”

As the scandal became public, Hammer soon realized that he had been hiding behind his public persona, although he was not ready to give up on the proposition.

“There was a mask that I didn't really identify with, but everyone thought it was me,” he admitted, although being forced to remove it sent him into “full panic mode.”

“It became my safety net and my identity. When it's broken, everybody says, 'We don't like this guy anymore. We, the king, hate him,'” the performer said.

Stripped of that personal aspect, Hammer felt more vulnerable than ever.

“All of a sudden, you're just left standing there naked in front of the world with all your desires or tricks that the world is judging,” Hammer continued, before continuing, “There was definitely an aspect of your sexuality that was a weapon against you. It makes it very difficult for you to feel safe engaging with your sexuality.” .”

Despite how most have felt about Hammer since the opening, the actor believes the journey he's taken since then to get to know himself has been worth it.

“There are aspects of my behavior that I think come from maybe not the healthiest place,” he admitted.

“There were aspects of my behavior that were just expressions of my sexuality. I had to overcome all of that and understand what was coming from the right place, what was coming from a place of trauma.”

Hammer is actually mostly grateful for his controversial truth coming to light.

“I think somewhere deep down, subconsciously,” he said, “I wanted to be caught.”

In another demonstration of the journey Hammer has been on since the controversy, he confirmed in July that he is now fine with the rumors that led to his career turning point.

“I can look at it with a sense of distance and perspective and be like, 'that's funny,'” he shared “Painful lessons” podcast.

“People called me a cannibal and everybody believed them. They're like, 'Yeah, that guy ate people,'” Hammer joked.
