John shared a behind-the-scenes look at what filming a sex scene is really like.
“There's nothing intimate about it,” he said in an episode of Shay Shay Club in August 2024. “Nothing. So, like, it's really embarrassing.”
And thinking back to his role in 2015 Train wreckhe was not prepared for the kind of scenes he was going to film with his partner Amy Schumer.
“Amy is an angel,” he continued. “She made the environment so comfortable, and then when I got the part, they ended up saying, 'Yeah, it's a sex scene and we want you to do some crazy elaborate sex stunts, and all those lines you had? We're probably not going to use them, we're just going to do this sex stunt scene.'”
