Over the years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has chosen a celebrity child to carry the torch for awards season and help with the annual Golden Globe Awards.
The coveted title Miss and Mr. Golden Globes dating back to 1963, when Donna Douglas and Eva Six shared the honor. However, the tradition of giving the role to a celebrity's child only started in 1971. Anna Archerwho became a successful actress in her own right.
To be Miss or Mr. Golden Globes — or Golden Globes Ambassador as it was changed to 2018 – includes some responsibilities in the show. Throughout the event, the ambassador helps the presenters present the awards and escorting the winners off the stage.
Although the role has been filled by many stars over the years, the ambassador program was discontinued in 2021.
