Lily Rose Depp plans to work 'ten times harder' in Hollywood.

The young actress has revealed that she would work “ten times harder” to “prove herself” as a talented artist in her own right and forge a unique path.

“I don't mind working harder if people want me to prove myself,” she said. “I love what I do, it's the only thing I know how to do. That's why I feel I have to do it.”

“And if that means working ten times harder, then that's fine. I'm not ashamed, my parents are such talented performers. I'm blessed to be their daughter and watch them go about their careers,” she added.

Lily-Rose tends to stay away from social media, rarely sharing personal updates or photos with her 8.3 million Instagram followers.

She often uses the popular media sharing app to post red carpet photos and trailers for her new projects. However, when it comes to handling several controversies that have dogged her famous father, she would rather not talk.

She has now explained that she doesn't want the defining factor of her burgeoning career to be anything to do with the famous people in her life, and would rather it be based on her work.

“I'm not here to answer for anybody,” she said Daily mail. “And I feel like for a long time in my career, people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether it's my family members or my friends, whatever.”

“And I'm really willing to be defined by the things I put out there,” Lily-Rose added.

Although Lily-Rose's 2023 TV series The Idol was met with heavy criticism, her father Depp reportedly had no problem with his daughter's role on the hit show.

A source said Daily mail that the actor is happy that the 24-year-old is “building her career and challenging herself to take on roles that interest her and test her.”

The insider said: “He likes that she's her own person and becoming her own actress. She doesn't rely on his success. He likes that she's such a strong person, especially now that she's in the extra spotlight. Her recent role in the movie “Idol”.

As for the criticism Lily-Rose has received since the series debuted at Cannes, Depp sees it as a sign that his daughter “must be doing something right.”

Although her career is still young, Lily-Rose revealed that she has faced challenges and dislikes certain aspects of acting.
