Aubrey Plaza offered insight into the marriage months before Jeff Beene's death

Aubrey Square briefly outlived her marriage to her husband Jeff Brothers three months before his sudden and unexpected death.

“I would stay away (from dating actors),” Plaza, 40, quipped during a September 2024 appearance on SiriusXM. The Howard Stern Show. “I'm married to a writer/director. I've never, like, really met an actor (or) been with an actor for a long time.

She added: “I think about it and I'm like, 'Oh my God, I don't want to be with myself' or 'I don't want to do this.'” But then sometimes I see that there are so many couples of actors and you, like “Wow, look at them. They must be laughing.”

Plaza married Baen in 2020 after ten years of dating. He died on Friday, January 3, At age 47, according to medical examiner records reviewed Us Weekly.

Baena's case status is listed as “open” with an exam already scheduled, according to the medical examiner's website. The cause of death has not been released and Plaza has not spoken publicly about his death. Us Weekly reached out for comment.
