The comic has long pushed boundaries with his cutting-edge stand-up performances.

But she fears she'll go too far when she hosts the Golden Globes tonight.

In August, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Nikki would be the host of Hollywood's most irreverent awards show.

And right off the bat, the host assured fans that she wouldn't go easy on Hollywood's best and brightest.

“I am absolutely thrilled to host the Golden Globes,” Glaser wrote in a statement to the outlet.

“It's one of my favorite nights of television and now I have a front row seat (actually, I think I have to host from the stage).

“The Golden Globes are not only a big night for television and film, but also for comedy. This is one of the rare times show business not only allows, but encourages, to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so),” she continued.

“(God, I hope so.) It's a concert that's both exciting and challenging because it's live, unpredictable, and in front of Hollywood's biggest stars (who might also get drunk while sitting next to their recent exes).”

Recent Globes hosts have generated more controversy than laughs.

And while Nikki obviously hopes to reverse this trend, she also has no plans to play it safe.
