THE RuPaul's Drag Race the community is in mourning.
The Viviennewho won the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and also competed on RuPaul's Drag Race All Starsdied. The British artist was 32 years old.
“It is with immense sadness that we inform you of our beloved James Lee Williams — La Vivienne, came by this weekend”, publicist Simon Jones said in a statement Xformerly Twitter, January 5. “James was an incredibly loved, warm and extraordinary person.”
The spokesperson continued: “Their family is heartbroken by the loss of their son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James has accomplished in their life and career.”
Vivienne's cause of death has not been made public.
“We will not release any further details,” Jones said in the statement, adding: “We please ask that James’ family be given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve. “
