A new lawsuit against Fox Sports, Skip Bayless, Joy Taylor and others alleges workplace misconduct, sexual harassment and retaliation.
Over the weekend, Front Office Sports published an explosive report filed by a woman named Noushin Faraji, who worked at Fox as an on-set hairstylist. She alleges several instances of professional misconduct during her tenure from 2012 to August 2024.
According to Sports at reception, Faraji is seeking class-action status for other employees who may have faced the alleged misconduct.
“When Ms. Faraji and others came forward to report the wrongdoing, instead of addressing their concerns, Fox retaliated against them while the perpetrators and those who protected them were inexplicitly promoted,” it reads. read in the complaint.
In the complaint, Faraji alleges that Skip Bayless offered $1.5 million for sex, but she turned around, pointing to cameras in the area and possible ovarian cancer.
She alleges that Skip ignored her and the sexual advances continued to push her to accept his offer during a meeting a week later.
“About a week later, Mr. Bayless made another advance on Ms. Faraji. Ms. Faraji replied: “Jump, stop, you have a wife.” » Mr. Bayless replied: “Aren't you a Muslim? Doesn't your father have three or four wives? Ms. Faraji responded that her father was dead, and when Mr. Bayless seemed surprised, she made up an excuse to leave,” the suit claims.
The trial also concerns Fox Sports host Joy Taylor, who Faraji said was an integral part of workplace harassment. Faraji says Fox Sports Manager Charlie Dixon had a sexual relationship with Taylor and later used his status in the company to promote her on television.
Additionally, Faraji claims during a birthday party for Joy; the executive began “rubbing her body and grabbing her buttocks” without her consent. Apparently, when she shared the incident with Taylor, she responded with “get over it” before taking Dixon's place.
Additionally, Faraji alleges that Taylor mentioned that they only had a job because of Dixon before reminding him of his power to take “both” away from them.
In another part of the trial, Taylor is accused of having an affair with fellow sports analyst Emmanuel Acho.
According to the suit, the two alleged relationships helped Taylor obtain a higher position and greater opportunities within the network.
Lawsuit alleges strategic coordination for harassment that ended with Bayless' departure
The lawsuit also claims that Faraji and Taylor's friendship ended in 2021. Taylor allegedly began making fun of Faraji's Persian heritage before asking for a “black hairdresser,” which ended their collaboration. The lawsuit alleges that Faraji was retained by the network to “appease” Bayless until Udisputed was canceled in August 2024.
The lawsuit claims Dixon was told the network could “only afford to have one hairstylist” for three shows after the cancellation, which she claims is retaliation.
“At this point, Ms. Faraji seeks justice,” the lawsuit states. “She knows that Mr. Dixon used his position of power to coerce women into having sex with him and used that as justification to grope Ms. Faraji. She knows that Mr. Dixon did not immediately fire her (after Ms. Taylor and Ms. Faraji argued) just to appease Mr. Bayless by providing her with a toy.
Fox Sports declined to make an official statement to Front Office Sports, choosing to take the route of “no further comment at this time.” Faraji seeks unspecified damages for emotional distress, labor law violations and an injunction to prevent further misconduct by others.
