Demi Moore accused of ignoring Kylie Jenner at the Golden Globes

Social media erupted on Sunday after a viral clip of Golden Globes appeared to show Demi Moore “blatantly ignoring” the reality star Kylie Jenner in an awkward moment at the awards ceremony.

Kylie Jenner, who attended the glamorous event with her boyfriend Timothée Chalametfound himself in the awkward position of trying to connect with one of his longtime icons.

Despite the fact that Demi Moore is accidentally confused with such stars as Elle Fanning and Monica Barbarothe atmosphere noticeably changed when Kylie Jenner tried to join the conversation.

In the now-viral footage, Moore can be seen chatting with Ella Fanning as Kylie, sitting next to him, turns in her seat and shouts: “Congratulations!” Demi, celebrating her win for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance.

Demi gave Kylie a quick “Thank you” before resuming her conversation with Fanning. Moore later shared a friendly moment with Chalamet, exchanging smiles and thanks.

The reality star watched the interaction before turning her attention back to her phone as Moore continued to talk to others. The brief exchange left social media users divided, with reactions ranging from frustration to indifference.

“It was so messed up,” wrote one user of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Another added: “Lmfao Demi put five fingers to her face.” Meanwhile, a third user suggested that Kylie “felt behind”.

The comments didn't stop there.

“Did we just witness Kylie's snot here?” someone asked.

Another commiserated, saying: “I feel so sorry for Kylie. Seems like everyone there is not interested in talking to her lol.”

Another said: “The way she completely ignored Kylie… if it was anyone else it would be shocking.”

Others, however, came to Moore's defense.

“Idk I don't think it's that deep. She was just talking to the cast and she acknowledged Kylie,” one commenter countered.

Notably, Kylie Jenner has previously shown admiration for Demi Moore, even channeling her “Stripper” character for a Halloween costume in October 2024. In addition to “liking,” Moore retweeted Jenner's tribute on social media twice.
