Sex and the City spinoff series And just like that is returning for a third season — and the upcoming episodes are already being talked about.
The original series, which aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004, focused on Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her dating life in New York with friends Charlotte (Christine Davis), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall). When will the show return?

Can fans expect Aidan to return for Season 3?
After his much-anticipated return, viewers were shocked to learn that Aidan would not be a regular in the hit Max series. In the Season 2 finale, Aidan returned home to Virginia, where he lived with his three teenage sons, after his youngest child was involved in a car accident. Aidan asked Carrie wait for him to make his permanent move back to New York – five years later.
“Aidan now believes bad things happen when he's not around,” King said on an August 2024 episode of AJLT's companion podcast. “He admits to (Carrie) that he really is home to these three boys — and he always has been.”
Aidan and Carrie previously spent the night together his departure, but it's unclear what their future will be in the coming seasons.

Will Samantha return?
After appearing in six seasons Sex and the City and two films, Cattrall abandoned the Max series due to dropout between him and Parker. Cattrall said she has no plans to reprise the role of Samantha, but herself an episode was eventually made for Season 2.
