Details of the violent attack on an elderly woman on the subway on her way to church
According to New York PostLinda Ross got off the 3 train shortly after 6pm and had gone through the turnstile when one of the girls reached for her purse.
“And then I thought to myself, 'Oh, no, that's not going to happen today.' Ross recalled to the New York Post.
Linda Ross described the incident, saying one of the teenagers punched her in the face, knocking off her glasses. Another girl grabbed a purse with her ID and medical records. Ross then explained that she tried to fight off the first attacker and kick her, but her leg couldn't reach him. She also explained that she felt that the hostile teens had not stopped attacking her.
“I got the impression that she was going to poke me again, but she was going to aim for my head,” Rosa said.
In addition, she decided to take matters into her own hands, pulling one girl down by her braids.
“So I got up straight away and I grabbed her braids with it and wrapped them around my right arm, and then I pulled her down. She had her head down. Then the other young lady said, 'Let her go.' And I said, 'Oh, no, I didn't let him go.'” Linda continued.
Linda screamed for help while holding one girl, then let go, sending the teenagers running after she threatened to call the cops.

After the subway attack, Linda Ross went to Brooklyn Tabernacle Church, where members helped her and called the police. She was later treated for “minor injuries” at Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Since the incident, the New York Police Department has released footage showing the four suspects going through subway turnstiles before the attack. Police are still looking for help locating the girls.
Rosa has expressed gratitude that she was not seriously injured, writes the New York Post. In addition, she stated that she has no ill will towards the teenagers, as she believes that they are just behaving.
“I forgive them. They don't know what they're doing. They don't know what they did. It's just teenagers acting stupid,” Rose explained.
