Teddy Mellencamp detailed her recent struggles with anxiety to help others struggling with the ups and downs of mental health.
“Woke up at three in the morning today with raging anxiety,” Mellencamp, 43, wrote on her Instagram Story on Monday, Jan. 6.
The previous one Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star noted that she didn't share the update to “complain,” but to reach out to “anyone else who woke up” with some of the same symptoms.
Mellencamp continued outline the symptoms of anxiety disorders including “trouble concentrating or making decisions” and “feeling irritable, tense or anxious”.
“Experiencing nausea or stomach pains. Palpitations. Sweating, shakiness or tremors,” she listed as additional experiences someone might face when dealing with anxiety. “Trouble sleeping. A sense of impending danger, panic, or doom.
The reality star — who is currently divorcing her estranged husband Edwin Arrojav — went on to tell her followers what to do to prevent an anxiety episode.
“We are fine and we will get over this hump,” she wrote. Mellencamp then outlined her seven steps for overcoming symptoms, including mediation and making gratitude lists.
“I'm thankful for my health, my kids, that I'm back to work with, the people who make me laugh and understand that anxiety is not a choice,” she shared.
