Anna Duggar deliberately shading Jana and Stephen's marriage?

Did Anna Duggar intentionally disrespect Jana at her wedding? For what?

Although Anna Duggar has avoided the spotlight since her disgraced husband was incarcerated, she made a major appearance in 2025.

In August, Jana Duggar married Stephen Wissmann. Sister-in-law Jana attended the wedding.

But Jana also violated a rule of politeness so universal that fans are now wondering if it was an act of politeness. voluntary snub.

Anna Duggar wore WHAT to Jana's wedding?!

Now that the 'excitement' around her wedding has died down, Jana Duggar is using it YouTube channel to share moments from your big day.

After all, she and her siblings are no longer reality TV stars. Josh's many scandals (and his parents' efforts to cover it up) contributed to this.

But there are still Duggar fans who are poring over every moment of the footage the girls released. And many of them couldn't help but notice a weird detail in Anna Duggar's outfit.

A few times during Jana Duggar's wedding video, you can get a little glimpse of Anna.

She and another unidentified woman both wear white dresses.

Wearing a white dress to a wedding is perfect if you are the bride or a flower girl. In general, this is such a blatant faux pas that some consider it essentially a act of war.

This is a major marriage faux pas, and Jana needs to know it.

Most of the time, when we talk about the Duggars and the “rules” of clothing, we're talking about cult rules. These are rooted in misogyny, fundamentalism and the oppression of the human spirit.

That's not it. Wearing white to a wedding without the request of those getting married constitutes a major social break. In fact, Martha Stewart goes as far as say that silver, light blue and cream dresses are too close to white to be worn as wedding guests. And she's right.

The internet is full of anecdotes about the groom's ex, hostile sister, or (worst of all) mother wearing white or off-white to deliberately overshadow the bride. It's terrible. If the bride is wearing white, wear anything else.

Just to be clear, we're well aware that Anna Duggar's life isn't turning out the way she imagined. One might wonder if she simply can't afford a dress.

But Anna has attended many weddings. She wore a variety of colors — and never, as far as we know, a white dress as a wedding guest.

It's conceivable that Anna could have sold her other dresses and had no other options for Jana Duggar's wedding. But that doesn't seem likely.

Is this about Josh?

Not everyone agrees that Anna Duggar signified any sort of hostility toward Jana by wearing the white dress. After all, it's just a dress.

But among those who think it was a deliberate snub, one motive comes to mind: Josh.

Many reports claim that Anna was a fierce defender of her loathsome husband. She may “blame” family members who she feels have not supported her. If so…what if she basically flipped Jana the bird for not being in Josh's corner?
