Jemele Hill is neither.
The sexual harassment lawsuit against Skip Bayless, Joy Taylor and several other Fox Sports employees is still the talk of social media, which also includes some public figures. On Monday, January 6, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown decided to weigh in on the issue, recalling Jemele Hill's infamous departure from ESPN following his negative tweets about President Donald Trump .
It's no surprise that Brown – who constantly jokes about the likelihood of having brain damage in the form of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) from his NFL career – doesn't seem to have nuanced ideas about the trial. After hearing allegations that FS1 host Joy Taylor slept with powerful men to get a job, Brown sent a tweet suggesting the reason Jemele Hill is no longer on television is because 'She's not attractive enough.
“No one wanted to fuck Jamele, right? the former NFL star wrote, adding his ubiquitous hashtag #CTESPN.
After the tweet was posted, Hill responded not only to the retired player, but also to a user who also commented on the post, saying he had seen her in person and “understood” why her appearance didn't would not allow him to get a job.
“And you guys went running on the internet because you weren’t crazy enough to say that shit to my face,” Hill said in response.
In response to Brown, she added: “Well, I don't know anything about being a community, but you do. Please share with the class what it means to be passed on, since you have so much experience.
AB responded to this tweet by writing: “Really welcome back Jamele…”, once again misspelling his name even though it is right in front of him.
This exchange between Hill and Brown comes after a former Fox Sports hairstylist, Noushin Faraji, filed a complaint about workplace misconduct, including sexual harassment and a toxic environment involving misogyny, racism and ableism, according to NBC News. The suit names Fox, executives, Bayless, Taylor and others as defendants and seeks class-action status for employees also affected.
