Shannon Sharpe has responded to a sexual harassment and workplace misconduct lawsuit filed against Fox Sports, Skip Bayless and others.
This weekend, a explosive trial of former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji has surfaced, accusing Skip Bayless of sexual harassment in the workplace. The lawsuit also named the network, executives and host Joy Tayloraccused of accepting sexual advances to advance her career.
After the initial shock of the trial, social media wanted to hear from Skip's former co-host, Shannon Sharpe. Usually, Sharpe doesn't hold back his thoughts, but in this case, he avoids gossiping about the trial.
According to ComplexSharpe addressed the elephant in the room during the latest episode of Nightcap with co-host Chad Ochocinco.
“This has nothing to do with me,” Sharpe said around the 2:02:07 mark. “That’s not the case. What do you want me to say? It has nothing to do with me. So there is nothing to resolve. I don’t know why everyone keeps going – if you notice, everyone posts it, they got me.
Several social media users suggested that Sharpe played a role in the lawsuit being filed without any evidence. Yet Shannon made it clear that he was not charged with anything in the 42-page lawsuit.
“In these 42 pages, there is no mention that Shannon Sharpe did anything. But you all want to get clicks, so you will mention me,” he added.
The most disturbing allegation against Skip Bayless claims that he offered Faraji $1.5 million to have sex with her. According to the New York PostBayless allegedly accused Faraji of having sex with Sharpe before apologizing in August 2023.
Faraji alleged that network executive Charlie Dixon groped her, and Joy Taylor responded, “Get over it.” Apparently, Taylor requested a black hairdresser shortly after ending their working relationship.
Other working secrets in the lawsuit include an alleged sexual relationship between Taylor and Dixson, which then allegedly evolved into a sexual relationship with Emmanuel Acho. None of the allegations have been proven, but Faraji and his legal team are confident enough that others have had similar experiences and want class-action status.
The hairstylist claims she was relieved of her duties after Skip left the network. Additionally, she believes she was only retained after her working relationship with Taylor ended to “appease” Bayless.
