One of Meghan Marklefriends offer an insight into the Duchess of Sussex's life as a mum ahead of her a new Netflix show.
“I've had the pleasure of meeting @meghan over food and let me tell you, she and her well-known friend are some of the most down-to-earth people I've ever met,” the chef said. Adrian Lipscomb wrote through Instagram on Monday, January 6. “We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in a princess phase and the movies they love) and of course food.”
Markle and Prince Harry to share with Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibeth (3). It is unclear whether the royal couple's children will be featured in the Duchess of Sussex's upcoming Netflix show titled With love, Meghan.
Recalling her chat with Markle, Lipscomb remembered Markle as a mom who was both kind and thoughtful.
“She didn't rush the conversation, even though I took up her time,” she shared. “(Markle) was gracious, engaged and kind.”
Lipscomb felt compelled to speak out after she saw a negative article about Markle's upcoming TV show based on a small preview.
On January 2, Netflix released the first trailer from With love, Meghan. The nearly two-minute clip offered a glimpse into Markle's life in California, including a sweet moment with her husband.
According to Netflix's official magazine line, the show “reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming” with Markle at the helm, “mixing how-tos with candid conversations with friends.”
After highlighting an article that said, “I'm already bored of Meghan Markle's new Netflix series,” Lipscomb said she decided to speak out.
“How are you going to criticize someone or judge a TV show before it's even out?” she said. “And let's talk about the bigger picture — where are the black women-led shows and roles in the food world? The representation is already so poor, and now a show that has the potential to shine a spotlight on food, culture, and stories is being ripped apart before it even has a chance. It's not just about Meghan Markle. It's about a systemic problem in media and entertainment that continues to dismiss or belittle the efforts of women, especially women of color, to create something meaningful.
After returning to Instagram at Beginning of 2025Apparently Markle ignored the critics and instead expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work on a personal project.
“I'm so happy to share with you!” her wrote through the app on January 3. “I hope you enjoyed the show as much as I enjoyed making it. I wish you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing team and the @netflix team. Thanks so much for the support and the fun!
