Spotify canceled contract with Sussex Islands
“Archetypes” originally debuted as Spotify's #1 podcast. 1 in 47 countries, becoming a huge success with around one million listens per episode.
However, behind-the-scenes tensions arose between Spotify and Sussex-based Archewell Audio, with some sources suggesting that Spotify expected more content than the pair produced.
In a joint statement, both parties confirmed their mutual decision to separate, praising their partnership.
However, tensions escalated when Spotify CEO Bill Simmons criticized Prince Harry and Meghan in a podcast episode, calling them “grifters” and recounting a frustrating conversation with Prince Harry.
