'The View' Co-Host Saul Hostin's Husband Emanuel Accused of Fraud in Lawsuit!
Emmanuel Hostinthe husband The view co-owner Sunny Hostin, faces serious charges in a new federal lawsuit. An orthopedic surgeon has been charged with federal insurance fraud as part of a major racketeer-influenced and corrupt organization (RICO) cases ever filed in New York.
According to the lawsuit, Emmanuel Hostinwhich is listed as “Emanuel Hostin, MD,” is one of 200 defendants accused of engaging in fraudulent practices by accepting kickbacks for operating and billing a company that insures taxi, Uber and Lyft drivers.
The lawsuit, filed on December 17, 2024, alleges that Sunny knowingly provided fraudulent medical services, including arthroscopic surgeries, and then submitted false claims to the insurance firm American Transit.
The lawsuit alleges those payments were disguised as dividends or other cash distributions in exchange for compensation. In response to the serious allegations, Emmanuel Hostin lawyer, Daniel John Thwaiteissued a statement denying all allegations.
“Dr. I took denies every charge,” John said, calling the lawsuit “a blanket, sprawling, pointless lawsuit from a near-bankrupt insurance carrier.”
The lawyer also argued that the lawsuit was designed to intimidate and harass doctors who collect payments for services provided to insured individuals in transit to America.
John also defended Sunny professional record, describing it as “impeccable” and stating that American Transit filed the lawsuit without conducting a proper Dr. Hostina work or raise any concerns with your legal team.
“The real story here is about an insurance carrier abusing the legal system to restrict and limit health care benefits for its insureds and their passengers and write off their responsibilities,” John added.
The lawsuit, which seeks at least $450 million in damages, claims that no-fault fraud is a significant problem in New York, and an attorney for American Transit said, “American Transit filed the lawsuit as part of its statutory responsibility to combat such fraud.”
Emmanuel Hostinwho has been married to Sunny Hostin has not publicly addressed the case since 1998, except for a statement from his lawyer. As the legal battle unfolds, it remains to be seen how it will affect both his career and public image.
