Kate Duggar, wife of Jedidiah Duggar, gave birth to twin girls

Counting alum Jedidiah Duggar and his wife Kathy Duggarare now proud parents of four children!

“They're here!! 💕 Introducing Elsie Kate and Emma Kate! the couple announced in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, January 9. “Elsie was born on January 8, 2025 at 2:06 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and Emma followed at 2:13 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces. Both girls are healthy and beautiful!”

The couple's post featured several adorable pictures of their twin daughters, along with a sweet family photo of son Truett, 2, and daughter Nora, 19 months.

In a statement on Thursday to PeopleKate and Jeddah, 26, shared that “both girls are healthy and beautiful and have absolutely won our hearts.” They added: “We are so grateful to God for entrusting us with these precious girls. Our hearts are full and we are grateful for the love and support we have received during this joyous time.

Kate and Jed discovered that they were waiting again still in July 2024.

“Gemini's date of birth is January 19; then I'll be 40 weeks,” Katie explained in December 2024 YouTube vlog. “Now 50 percent of twins are born before 37 weeks. If I make it past Christmas and New Years, we'll see. We talk to my doctor all the time about options and what's best for the babies.

Jed who is a twin himselfexclaimed that both he and his brother Jeremy Duggar “Would like another set of twins” for their December 30 birth.

“Oh, the rest of my life, celebrating all these birthdays, that's a lot,” Katie replied.

Jed and Katie followed his family a tradition of politeness before getting married in April 2021. Less than a year later, they welcomed Truett. Nora followed in May 2023.

Although Jed and Katie's hearts and hands are now full with four babies, they haven't ruled out having more children. (Jed is one of the Jim Bob and Michelle Duggarhave 19 children.)

“I think we pray for everybody and we just love life,” Jed said in December 2024. “We are very excited about everything that God has given us so far. We are not quite sure yet (and) we ask God, “What is the time for everything?” It's been really neat and we love each of our kids and God's timing.

Katie, in turn, noted that neither she nor her husband specifically believe that “there are four.”

“We are very open to have more after that, but considering God in every step we take in our family,” she said. “We're both very open to what God (thinks) about our future and our family.”
