A little over a week has passed since then Coi Leray announced that she is expecting her first child. She and her friend Trippy Redseemed glowing and happy photos of the announcement. But there is someone else who wants to meet the joy of the couple: Gasoline!
In a recently released interviewhe shared how he found out about Coi's pregnancy, his hopes for her, and how much he wants to be involved in the child's life.
Benzino says he found out about Coi Leray's pregnancy with the world
Speaking on the 'We In Miami' podcast, Benzino was all smiles and was surprised to become a grandfather. After being congratulated by the host of the show, Zino revealed that he “Just found out when everyone else did.” Mind you, Coi and her dad have had a rocky public history, to say the least.

It follows from his comment that the “No More Party” artist did not directly talk to him about her life. Regardless, Benzino shared what he hopes having a baby will do for his daughter.
“It's going to grow her. I hope it is. Because she's finally going to learn what it means to be a parent. She's going to see firsthand what I went through,” Benzino said.
He added that he thinks becoming a mom should make Coi respect him as a dad. The host then asked if Benzino thought Leray would allow him to participate in the child's life as a grandfather. He responded by admitting that their story on the Internet had been “a little awkward.” Then he suggested that their father-daughter relationship should not affect the grandparent-grandchild relationship.
“No one really understood my relationship with my daughter before she was a rap star. No one was there, no matter what, when me and her mother broke up… Trust me, it's grandpa. It's important to me to get my message out to this kid. No matter what , what we are going through has nothing to do with the grandchild.
Zino talks about wanting to meet Trippy Red
Papa Zino also claimed that his daughter will want her child to get those “morals, values and principles” from his and Trippie Redd's parents. As far as the dad-to-be is concerned, Benzino shared that he wants to “holla” Redd. He admitted that when the rapper and Coi first met, he wasn't interested in getting to know her. Now that the couple is expecting a child, Zino wants to reach out to congratulate and clear up any speculation of animosity.
“Grandfather is here! I have nothing but love in my heart,” he added.
Trippie Red has not publicly responded to Benzino's comments, and neither has Coi Leray. Instead, Lera took to her Instagram Stories overnight to share a report about the wildfires raging in California.
“Pray for California,” she wrote. “My heart goes out to everyone affected by these horrific fires. No matter what, stay and pray. “
Elsewhere on her IGS, she encouraged fans to follow her on Snapchat to follow her pregnancy journey. Stables, do you think Benzino will subscribe too?
