Dave Coulier details “roller coaster” chemotherapy cancer treatment

For Dave, one thing he found helpful during his recovery was hearing about other people's experiences with the disease.

“I've heard from so many people, Marla, who have been touched by cancer in their lives,” he noted. “And, you know, the words of encouragement have, I think, really helped people.”

And the actor, whose longtime friend and partner John Stamos is among those who have shown support for him – hopes that these difficult times in his life will, at the very least, encourage others to take preventative measures and be vigilant in detecting cancer early.

“If I'm going to feel a little bad for a few months, then so be it,” the comedian explained. “But just being able to alert people that it's OK to have a colonoscopy or early screenings or a mammogram, it's definitely worth it.”
