Twisted is heading to the small screen.
THE rights to the book series written by Ana Huang were secured by Netflix in a seven-figure deal, its rep confirmed to E! News.
Twisted– a series of four books – is a “raunchy new adult series that follows the lives of four best friends and their brooding love interests,” reads a press release about the deal, “riddled with dark secrets from their past, as they overcome the obstacles that separate them to fall in love.
To date, the series has sold over 12 million copies and its first novel twisted love spent more than 60 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. And on TikTok, #twistedseries has more than two billion views.
Ana, for her part, took to social media to celebrate the news.
“It's a new year, which means I can FINALLY announce some big news: Netflix is developing the Twisted series within a television show”, she wrote in his message of January 10. “I've been dying to share this with you for a while, and I hope you're as excited as I am because I can't wait to see the Twisted the universe comes to life!!
