Moore recently discussed the challenges of filming nude scenes in “The Substance,” which earned her her first Golden Globe Award.

Talking about her experience in the film, she said Women magazine that there were several conversations behind the scenes to be able to bring it to life properly.

“That place where she feels so rejected and so desperate, I think there's a part of it where we — not just women — can connect on a human level,” she said.

“I've definitely gone through this at different times in my life, when I too overestimated my outer self and underestimated my inner self, and when I gave away my power based on how I looked. Ironically, it was when I was much younger,” Moore continued.
“Specifically, the scene where (my character) is on the precipice of being able to break out of his self-imposed prison, going on a date, I feel like the idea of going there or changing your clothes and trying to make it better – you can make it worse. ,” Moore added. “Then again, I think we've all had those moments.
