Demi Moore admits it was a “vulnerable experience” filming the nude scenes

Demi Moore recently won her first Golden Globe Award for her incredible performance in “The Substance” at the age of 62.

However, the actress' latest achievement has also prompted her to reflect on some of the daring scenes she has starred in, saying it was a “very vulnerable experience” for her.

Accepting the award, Demi Moore described how she had to recover from the “lowest point” in her life as she struggled with the idea that she was “not enough”.

Moore recently discussed the challenges of filming nude scenes in “The Substance,” which earned her her first Golden Globe Award.

She won the award for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for her daring performance in the film, in which she went naked in some scenes.

Talking about her experience in the film, she said Women magazine that there were several conversations behind the scenes to be able to bring it to life properly.

“It was a very vulnerable experience and we had a lot of conversations, but it took you to a raw place where you needed to (go),” Moore explained. The sun.

She continued, “I think it felt like it wasn't sexualized, because a lot of my scenes were about the experience of being with ourselves, and often we're naked with ourselves, and those are moments of our own personal gaze and self-judgment.”

Reflecting on her portrayal of Elizabeth Sparkle in the film, Moore noted that her personal life is not the same as the character's, as she does not seem to mind the aging process.

She explained that it's because she doesn't rely solely on her looks to define her self-worth, though Moore admitted that hasn't always been the case.

“That place where she feels so rejected and so desperate, I think there's a part of it where we — not just women — can connect on a human level,” she said.

“I've definitely gone through this at different times in my life, when I too overestimated my outer self and underestimated my inner self, and when I gave away my power based on how I looked. Ironically, it was when I was much younger,” Moore continued.

“Specifically, the scene where (my character) is on the precipice of being able to break out of his self-imposed prison, going on a date, I feel like the idea of ​​going there or changing your clothes and trying to make it better – you can make it worse. ,” Moore added. “Then again, I think we've all had those moments. In her acceptance speech, Moore talked about the struggles and “low point” because she thought she “wasn't enough.”

She reiterated how much the award meant to her, having previously been nominated four times and fighting for the popular role for decades.

The actress said: “At times when we don't think we're smart enough, pretty enough, thin enough or basically just not enough, I had a woman tell me, 'Just know you never will be.' enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.”

Meanwhile, Moore sparked controversy on social media after she dissed reality TV star Kylie Jenner in a TikTok video.

In a clip taken at the awards ceremony on Sunday night, Moore is seen welcoming everyone else to the table, including Jenner's friend and nominee Timothee Chalamet, but not the Kylie Cosmetics founder.

Social media users were quick to express their displeasure with her, with many believing that Moore was deliberately ignoring Jenner.

However, some fans noted that Moore may not have noticed Jenner as she congratulated several people right after her win.

Moore's daughter, Tallulah Willis, was quick to defend the actress from the backlash, asking fans to give her mom “a break” on her Instagram page on Monday.
