Justin Timberlake confronts fans who challenge him to a car race

Justin Timberlake caused a stir online after a viral clip showed him telling excited fans riding alongside him.

The reaction of netizens to the clip was mixed. Some said that the singer was “dishonest”, while others suggested that the fans were provocative in their approach.

The incident comes after Justin Timberlake had a run-in with the law last year and was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.

Timberlake has gone viral online after a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed him blowing up a group of people in his car.

Although it is unclear, these individuals appeared to be fans who were excited to see him and tried to engage him in conversation.

In the clip, fans were riding with Timberlake as they shouted to themselves, “It's Justin Timberlake.”

The camera then panned to a dark gray vehicle with tinted windows, prompting fans to tell the driver to “roll down the window”.

When the window finally rolled down, an irritated Timberlake was seen behind the wheel. Apparently he didn't have it with the fans as he repeatedly asked, “Do you want anything?”

“Let's compete,” they responded several times, before the singer told them, “Get out, you damn kids.”

Several fans took to the comments section to share their reaction to the video, with the poster writing: “Why is Justin Timberlake so short omfg (crying emoticon)???”

One person wrote: “Celebrities wouldn't have their platform without fans.” Another joked: “Now they know not to mess with him behind the wheel when he was recently arrested for DWI.”

However, many users supported the singer and explained that he was not “evil”.

One fan said: “They probably followed him and were too abrasive. The way they talk to him is the way the paparazzi do too. I mean, I'm not punishing because you don't have all the footage. . . .”

Another user wrote: “(I don't know) to be honest, it seems like they were just provoking him while he was doing his thing. I don't think he was necessarily mean – maybe irritated after being yelled at by so many people. … “

This comes 7 months after Timberlake got into trouble with the law and was arrested for driving under the influence after a night out with friends in the Hamptons enclave in Sag Harbor, New York.

The “Bye Bye Bye” singer ran through a stop sign and left his lane, prompting police to pull him over.

The police report said he appeared “glassy-eyed” with a strong odor of alcohol. He also failed a field sobriety test and refused a breathalyzer test.

Timberlake's driver's license and privileges were suspended for a year in New York, so his viral interaction with fans likely didn't happen in the Big Apple.

After months of court hearings, he took a plea deal in which he agreed to perform 25 to 40 hours of community service as well as make a public announcement about the dangers of driving while impaired.

A source said at the time People magazine that he took a plea deal over the legal drama and was “moving on” because his priority was family and travel.

“He's a family man and that's his focus. He took the plea deal because he wants to move on,” the source said. “The court case has been a distraction. He doesn't want it to affect his family.”

Timberlake's involvement with the law appears to have affected his relationship with wife Jessica Biel. However, the source said US Weekly they are back on solid ground and “rebuilding trust” in their marriage.

“Jessica and Justin are spending more time together and are happier and more relaxed,” the source shared, noting that his arrest put their marriage to the test.

“Justin has taken time to reassess his priorities,” the insider continued. “He hasn't been out as much and is staying more with Jessica and the kids.”

The Palmers actor is said to be “finding new ways to connect” with his loved ones, as Biel is said to be supportive but has put him in charge.

“Jessica is showing patience and compassion while maintaining high expectations for him,” the source explained, adding that the couple is “prioritizing their strengths as a family.”
