ESPN reporter Sham Charania shared news On Monday, January 13, via X (formerly Twitter), the alleged record deal. Charania revealed that sources valued the deal at $13 million, $8 million of which is guaranteed. Additionally, LiAngelo Ball will retain ownership of his music and label, Born To Ball Music Group. by Genius. Likewise Charania report announced that LiAngelo already has a second track following 'Tweaker'.

LiAngelo has made a sharp turn from professional basketball to music in recent months. He is the middle child of the Ball brothers, the elder Lonzo and the younger LaMelo.
