Jessica Simpson Details Her Goal Amid Split From Husband Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson thinks of her children while she is going through a difficult period in her personal life.

The “Public Affair” singer recently shared that she and Eric Johnson broke up after 10 years of marriage – and she is now focusing on their children, Maxwell12, Ace11, and Bird5.

“Our children come first, and we are focused on what is best for them,” Jessica said in a statement to E! News on January 13. “We are grateful for all the love and support that has come our way, and appreciate privacy at this time as we work through this as a family.”

The 44-year-old confirmed the couple's split: “Eric and I live separately and are going through a painful situation in our marriage.”

While Jessica and Eric, who have faced speculation about their breakup since last year, have remained tight-lipped in recent months about the status of their relationship, the designer has publicly congratulated her three children on social media.
