Jessica Simpson And Eric Johnson have been heading toward the end zone for some time.

One day after the “Irresistible” singer announced her split from the retired NFL player after 10 years of marriage, a source exclusively told E! News that the couple had already been separated “for a while.”

In fact, as they navigate their new chapter with each other, Jessica, 44, and Eric, 45, have already turned their attention to co-parenting their children: Maxwell12, Ace11, and Bird5.

“They are both great parents,” the source added, “and they are 100 percent focused on their kids.”

And putting their family first isn't the only way Jessica and Eric are adjusting to their new normal. Earlier this month, Jessica said goodbye to the home she shared with the former significant other, listing her Hidden Hills, Calif., mansion for a whopping $17.9 million, according to real estate records viewed by E! News.

According to records, the house was put up for sale on Jan. 11, two days before Jessica revealed that she and Eric called it quits in a heartbreaking post.
