Sparks woman debates after sharing terms of son's inheritance

A woman recently outraged social media users by revealing the conditions her son had to meet in order to receive his inheritance. The post is no longer available on @SamIAm X's (formerly Twitter) account, but she continues to speak her mind! Sp, naturally social media users throw in their two cents.

Shadow room reposted the viral tweet on January 13, attracting more than 3,500 reactions in the comments section. In a post, SamIAm (@ms_mom_365247) discussed the value of marriage in her family.

“Our son is aware that if they have children out of wedlock, they will lose their inheritance and have to start from scratch.” @ms_mom_365247 wrote in a now deleted post. “It was clear to us before we had kids. Most boys like it because they have no standards, no expectations, no LEGACY. You have to incentivize good behavior/decisions.

Mind you, this isn't the first time the user has voiced his stance on society's new 'babies before marriage' energy. She also spoke on the subject of legacy via X on December 22.

“More men understanding that having a child is a lifelong decision, whether to marry or not, is a positive thing. To be connected to that person for life and hold marriage to a higher standard is insane. Having children with anyone outside of marriage has always been a questionable move. @ms_mom_365247 wrote.

Then there were her posts on January 7th, 12th and 13th, all of which can be seen below.

Social media reveals information about mother's inheritance claims

And it's not just ordinary degular people who form families before joining surnames. Celebrities are also buying into the concept. Think Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Halle Bailey and DDG, Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson, and Keck Palmer and Darius Daulton. Most recently, Devin Haney's social media influencer Leena Syed revealed the birth of their first and only child together. Like the others mentioned, there was no engagement or wedding announcement attached.

While X user SamIAm has stood firm on the terms of her son's inheritance, the whole idea has sparked controversy. Is she doing too much or just protecting her son and their family? Keep scrolling to see which one social media users choose.
