Céline Dion shares a touching message 9 years after the death of René Angélil

“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disease has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible,” Céline wrote in a post Instagram in March. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support of my children, my family, my team and all of you!”

And four months later, for his first performance in four years, the singer of “Power of Love” made the most beautiful comeback by singing Edith PiafParis's “Hymne A L'Amour” at the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“I am honored to have performed tonight, for the opening ceremony of Paris 2024, and so full of joy to be back in one of my favorite cities,” she wrote in a post Instagram from July after her performance. “Above all, I am so happy to celebrate these extraordinary athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance.”
