According to Fox newsThe meeting took place on the evening of Tuesday, January 14. Democratic and Republican lawmakers reportedly discussed women's rights, transgender rights and civil rights at the meeting.
The clip, which has now gone viral on social media, shows Rep. Crockett says: “Someone is having difficulties with campaign coffers right now. So she'll keep saying “trans, trans trans” to make people feel threatened and chili, listen up.
Rep. Mays, for his part, seemed offended by Crockett's words.
“I'm not a child! Don't call me a child! I'm not a child. Don't even start,” she said, interrupting Crockett, who was still speaking. “I'm a grown woman. I am 47 years old. I've broken more glass ceilings than you ever have… You won't. I'm not a kid… If you want to take it out, we can do it.
As the clip continued, another committee member could be heard calling the meeting to order.
