Flavor Flav Hypes Up Music by Leighton Mester Amid LA Wildfires

After supporting Heidi Montag's pop career Flavor Flav add Leighton Mester in rotation.

“I started cheering on my girl Leighton Meester and helping her family recover from the fire,” the 65-year-old musician said. TikTok videos for himself dancing to Meester and Robin Bick2009 single “Somebody to Love” on Tuesday, January 14.

Flav encouraged fans to show their support for the actress in the caption of the post, writing: “Stream @LeightonMeester Somebody to Love and use the song on yo TikTok 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾”.

Meester, 38, and her husband, Adam Brodyis reported among many celebrities who have lost their homes LA due to the wildfires that started last week and have forced thousands of people to evacuate the area. The couple, who married in 2014 and have two children, have not commented publicly on the destruction of their home.

Meester released her debut single 'Somebody to Love' while she was on the hit series Gossip girlwhich ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012. She went on to release a cover version of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and the single “Your Love's A Drug” in 2009 and 2010 respectively, before releasing her solo album, Heartstringsin 2014.

Meester's music credits also include singing in the 2010 film The country is strong and is featured on Cobra Starship's 2009 hit “Good Girls Go Bad”.

In addition to helping Meester, Flav announced on Saturday, January 11, TikTok uploads that he has “donated to GoFundMe programs and many non-profit programs as well.” He added: “I would like everyone to join your boy Flavor Flav and help donate to all these families that need help right now because they need us right now.”

One of the families Flav is helping on social media is Montag, 38, and her husband, Spencer Pratt. He helped produce Montague's 2010 album, Superficially, reaches #1 on the iTunes charts using her song “I'll Do It” in several TikTok posts. (Prat started a trend when fans rallied behind the couple and wanted to help them fund the renovations.)

“Doing my part to make Heidi Montag #1,” he wrote alongside clip of him dancing with Montag's song playing over the top. “I wish you all a speedy recovery and be safe, !! 🙏🏾,” Flav added in the caption, tagging Montag and Pratt's TikTok handles.

Spencer's sister, Stephanie Prattfirst confirmed that the couple and their sons Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 13 months, lost his house to fires via Instagram on January 7. The two have continued to share updates with fans on social media, with Spencer I tearfully thank the fans for supporting his wife's music a TikTok videos.
