Meghan didn't hesitate to delay the release of her upcoming Netflix cooking series “Love, Meghan” just days before it's scheduled to premiere amid wildfires.

The show, originally scheduled to open on January 15th, was pushed back to March 4th due to the devastating wildfires that hit her hometown of Los Angeles.

While some critics have questioned the reasons behind the two-month delay, sources close to the Duchess of Sussex have said. People magazine that the decision was driven by genuine concern for those affected by the disaster.

“Missing the release of With Love, Meghan probably had an easy decision,” an insider shared. “I don't think she could imagine a show centered around joy and welcome when so many people in her home state no longer have homes to welcome people in.”

The source also addressed skepticism surrounding Meghan's motives, stressing that the decision was based on empathy.

“I think it's sad that critics are saying she's doing this just to avoid the fires that overshadow her show. We're all human and we have to deal with disaster,” the source said.

In a statement released Sunday, just three days before the Netflix cooking series premiered, Meghan expressed her gratitude for the streaming giant's support in postponing the show.

“I am grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch as we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my home state of California,” shared the Duchess of Sussex.

“With love, Meghan” is said to be a heartfelt tribute to California, reflecting Meghan's deep connection to her home state.

The show's description reads: “With love, Meghan, produced by Meghan, it offers a mix of practical instruction and candid conversations with friends you know and new.”

The series focuses on Megan sharing her “personal tips and tricks, emphasizing playfulness over perfection, and highlighting how easy it can be to create beauty even in unexpected situations.”

It added: “She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, garden and beyond and invite you to do the same.”

The highly-anticipated lifestyle series was first hinted at when Meghan unveiled her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, last March.

The trailer shows the Duchess cooking in her Montecito kitchen, harvesting fresh produce from her garden and chatting with familiar friends, all set to the tune of The Lovin' Spoonful's “Do You Believe in Magic.”

Megan shares her passion for adding thoughtful touches to everyday moments.

“I've always loved taking something quite ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I'm really thinking about them,” she says.

Meghan goes on to explain that the series will offer simple tips and tricks to incorporate these thoughtful gestures into everyday life.

“It's about connecting with friends… We don't pursue perfection, we pursue joy,” she added.

The decision to delay the release of “Love, Meghan” follows Harry and Meghan's hands-on volunteer work in Pasadena, where they spent the day supporting fire relief efforts.

Working with World Central Kitchen, a longtime partner of the Archewell Foundation, the couple helped serve meals to those affected by the devastating fires.

The mayor praised their involvement, describing them as “great people” with “great personalities” and noting their positive impact on first responders.

“They really boosted the spirit of the first responders. We visited the command post at the Rose Bowl and people were very happy to see them,” Gordo said.

In addition to sheltering their friends, Harry and Meghan also donated to relief efforts through their Archival Foundation.

They shared an impassioned statement on their Sussex.com website, urging people to support those displaced and to “sign up” for the elderly and disabled.
