Skeleton Crew Episode 8 reveals just how powerful Jodh's power is

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a show full of fascinating mysteries, but one stands above all others: what exactly is the deal? Jude Law's complex character, Jod Na Navud? At first, this peculiar figure seems to the pirates to be like Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to the smugglers, a charming rogue who can be a little shady but always comes through in the end. However, as the show goes on, the character's most favorable aspects turn out to be an act.

The author “Skeleton Crew” Episode 5, aptly titled You've Got a Lot to Learn About Pirates, it's clear that Jod is a criminal through and through and has only used Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyer), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), and Neil ( voiced by Robert Timothy Smith) to gain access to the treasures of Athens. However, the episode doesn't reveal a few things about him until the season finale. We still don't know which of Jodh's many names is his real name, and it's still unclear how Force-sensitive he really is.

Although we never learn Jodh's true name, “The Real Good Guys” reveals just how powerful the Force is with the pirate captain. The kids have suspected for some time that Jodh's relatively small readings of Force telekinesis are just a trick, but that's not the case. In addition to being truly force-sensitive, the human is also powerful enough to perform a number of classic Jedi moves, from pushing people with the force to blocking multiple blaster shots with a lightsaber. Jodh may not be a real Jedi, but when it comes to the Force, he's very real.

Aside from his sensitivity to the Force, Jodh's general tendency to favor rogue tactics over violence and his seemingly genuine desire not to hurt children finally gets some explanation. As it turns out, Jodha was once a poor street kid who was taken in by a Jedi he was running after. heartbreaking order 66Galactic Empire powers to execute all members of the Jedi Order. Unfortunately, poor Jod's temporary Jedi training had barely begun when his newfound master was caught and killed before his eyes.

This is an incident that seems to have disillusioned and damaged Jodh, but thanks to his exposure to Jedi training, he has retained more than his Force skills. Some of his morality still remains, evident in the way he categorically refuses to raise a hand against the innocent. Even when Wim and Fern are at gunpoint near the end of the episode, he chooses to drop the gun rather than kill them and retrieve his lightsaber.

In the end, Jod turns out to be little more than a tragic and desperate man who has been hit so hard that he believes there is nothing else life has in store for him. In another version of his story, he might have met some true friends along the way — his Skeleton Crew, if you will — and turned out to be a much more heroic character. Perhaps if Star Wars: Skeleton Crew gets a Season 2, admitting defeat and rethinking his actions will give us a Jodh who is willing to use his silver tongue and Force abilities for purposes other than stealing credits.
