Tommy Lee hugs musicians promoting their work during the LA fires

Tommy Lee have something to say to their fellow musicians.

The Mötley Crüe drummer shared a letter on Instagram on Tuesday (January 14) for artists to promote their work on social media. During the Los Angeles fires. Since January 7th, thousands of people have lost their homes and been displaced by wildfires that have ravaged areas of LA.

“It sickens me to see most people just care about a lame social media post!” Lee, 62, shared. “Now nobody cares when your record drops or the next gig is when so many people are in one of the biggest disasters of all time!”

“I understand there's always (need) some comic relief, but Jesus Christ, leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can,” he added, though he didn't name any specific artists.

Lee isn't the only star calling out celebrities for their social media activity over the past week.

Tuesday, Kelly Osbourne called celebrities she thinks the fires are being used for personal attention.

While Osborne, 40, did not name names, she slammed the “disturbing” trend of stars continuing to post about how they are helping victims of the fires, which have so far killed 25 people.

“Am I just my usual brooding, cynical self, or is it really disturbing to see all these celebrities using other people's pain and suffering as a photo op to say, 'I help, I do.' I do it?” she asked in a video posted via TikTok.

“I don't believe you're helping because you're getting attention for helping, I believe you're just helping because you want to. I'm so confused, I think it's so wrong,” she continued. “Nobody asked you to come out and give me a hug, go home.”

Osborne's comments come as celebrities around the world donating your time and money for the elimination of the consequences of fires. Many have done so publicly, sharing photos and videos of themselves volunteering.

Many celebrities including Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis and Eva Longoria have donated money organizations that support fire relief. Fires in Los Angeles' Palisades and Eaton counties have damaged or destroyed more than 12,300 structures as of Wednesday, Jan. 15, according to CNN. It includes the homes of many celebrities, including the Hiltons, Mel Gibson, Anna Faris and Billy Crystal.
