Friends Wendy Williams' family is asking her fans to help speed her return to “her rightful home in Florida.”

The fundraiser is set at $50,000 and was reportedly set up before Williams' explosive revelation Thursday.

The beloved TV personality said she feels like a prisoner in her conservatory, adding that she is not “cognitively impaired” as reported in the media.

Friends of the Williams family organized a fundraiser that aims to raise $50,000. As of this post, $8,954 has been raised from 377 contributions.

The fundraiser description says: “A GoFundMe fundraiser is urgently being organized to help Wendy Williams' family expedite her return to her rightful home in Florida.”

It continues: “For too long, Wendy has faced the challenges of her unfair custody and labeling her incapacitated, despite her strong will and determination to live her life independently.”

Williams' current situation was described as “unfair” and “deeply isolating”, while it was claimed her guardian had “cut her off from friends and family, leaving her without the support network she so desperately needs”.

Williams' isolation in New York “has made it increasingly difficult for her to maintain her strength and stamina,” according to the fundraiser.

The end of the fundraiser's description emphasizes that Williams' family is “passionately advocating for her return to Florida, where she will once again be surrounded by the love and support of those who care for her.”

It claimed Williams' family were “suffering emotionally” and witnessed her isolation “taking a toll on her well-being”.

However, the family of the former TV show host “has exhausted their financial resources” in the fight against her “unjust custody”.

As such, they “are in dire need of assistance in securing legal representation.”

A description of the fundraiser concluded: “Legal services can be prohibitively expensive and without our support they can find it difficult to navigate the complexities of the situation.”

Thursday, An explosion reported that Williams had a phone interview with “The Breakfast Club” and opened up about her work as a conservator.

The former daytime talk show host denied her guardian's claim that she couldn't figure out.

Williams said“I'm not cognitively impaired, you know what I'm saying? But I feel like I'm in a prison. I'm in this place where people are in their 90s, 80s, 70s… There's something wrong with these people here on this floor .”

Williams' niece, Alexa, who joined the call, also shared details about her living conditions at the New York nursing facility where she currently resides.

Alexa discovered that her aunt had stayed in a small, empty room. She claimed that the room had only one window, which did not let in enough sunlight.

Williams described her experience as a conservator as “emotional abuse” and broke down in tears when discussing not attending her father's 94th birthday.

She explained that her ability to attend the celebrations depended on her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, whom she described as “the person you're talking about who is holding me hostage”.

Williams lamented: “I'm exhausted thinking if I can't see my dad on his birthday. At 94, the next day is not promised. My life is in turmoil.”

She also noted that she only had $15 before she discovered that her very precious cats, which had been with her since she moved to New York after her divorce, had been “sold” without her consent.

During the interview, Williams revealed that she had one-way phone access, meaning she could call her family and friends but could not receive calls from them.

Williams also claimed that her tutor had complete control over her life, including her movements and finances.

As Williams opened up about her living conditions at the New York facility, her niece said it would be dangerous for her to remain in conservatorship.

Alex explained that the Williams family wanted the best for her and were better suited to take care of her because they knew her much better than an outsider would.
