Don't call it a comeback, but Cameron Diaz is officially back on the red carpet, making her first appearance on the crimson carpet on Wednesday, January 15, after a ten-year hiatus from Hollywood.

When she went to the Berlin premiere of her new Netflix movie Back in actionshe turned heads in a full Gucci look with a decidedly laid-back edge that matched her eternally cool California girl aesthetic. She ditched the high heels in favor of Gucci penny loafers, which she paired with dark denim jeans and a sheer blouse, before throwing on an oversized coat for an extra layer.

But former model Diaz, 51, has always been a red-carpet standout, and her celebrity peers have long praised her edgy style, a unique brand of poetic bohemia that consistently sets her apart.

During her mercurial heyday in Hollywood, her red carpet aesthetic was akin to a masterclass in '90s minimalism. She was a fan of all-black, black dresses that highlighted her mile-long legs, and she added a red heel to simple black trousers with a fringed top and a cardigan draped over her shoulders.
