Sunset's for sale Krishel Stause recounts how she was “frozen with fear” during the LA wildfire evacuation.
The reality star, 43, shared during her Wednesday, Jan. 15 appearance switched on Sherri that the fires and the subsequent evacuation process brought back long-buried memories of watching her house burn down as a child.
“When we had to evacuate, a fire broke out in our yard. It was just like, 'You have to go,'” she explained during the episode. “I think I'm frozen with fear. I kind of forgot when I was 12, I saw my house burn down.
Stause added that the incident was “something you don't think about. It happened so long ago.”
However, this caused her to “freeze” when it was time to evacuate. Stause counted her wife, an Australian singer G Flip (real name Georgia Claire Flipo) took charge during the evacuation while the reality TV star struggled with her past experience with fires.
“You don't know how you're going to react. I mean, I would have liked to think I was good in an emergency,” Stause continued. “But it showed me that I really needed a little kick in the butt, and G was there for me could concentrate, so it was nice to see them.”
Stause on praised by G Flip via Instagram Story last week as she reflected on her traumatic childhood experiences.
“A little bit of PTSD from the whole experience, which I completely forgot about until last night because I was in shock,” she said. “Luckily I had my wonderful partner who pulled me out of it and helped me focus.”
While Stause was evacuated, she was lucky not to lose her home in the wildfires that ravaged parts of Los Angeles, including the exclusive Pacific Palisades area, Malibu, Santa Monica and the Hollywood Hills. There is congestion one of many celebrities caught in a natural disaster. Stars like Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Paris Hilton and Miles Teller are among those whose houses were burnt to the ground and reduced to ruins.
Stause started seeing G Flip after she broke up with Jason Oppenheim at the end of 2021. Stause and G Flip continued to collaborate in May 2023.
Stause discussed his relationship with G Flip in an interview with Vogue In June 2022, telling the outlet, “just being at G (is) such an uplifting experience; if you've ever had the pleasure of being in the same room with them, you'll quickly understand what I mean. I love to feel that endless support that is just a desire for the other person to be fully who they are.
