The best slasher since Scream is Netflix

As a child of the 80s and a son of horror, I especially love slasher movies, a genre popularized by gory icons like Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. The genre reached its peak with the release of Wes Craven Scream in 1996, and fans like me have been chasing the dragon ever since, hoping that another director could deliver a similar mix of humor, horror, and hemoglobin. Now the most unexpected director has done it and fans are hoping to experience the best slasher since then Scream can now stream Thanksgiving Day on Netflix.

When you watch Thanksgiving Day switched on Netflixyou'll discover a truly harrowing story about a turkey-loving town still reeling from a Black Friday shopping spree that left three people dead. The cast includes some screen veterans such as Gene Gershon (best known for her performance in Connected) and Rick Hoffman (better known for his performance Samantha What?), as well as relative newcomers like Addison Rae (best known as a popular influencer on social media platforms like TikTok).

Aside from Dempsey, the other big name involved in this production is director Eli Roth, a horror veteran known for gorefests like Hostel. Compared to this franchise, kills Thanksgiving Day are usually tame, which makes this movie a little more accessible to the average Netflix viewer. Fortunately, Eli Roth manages to mix it up Scream– a similar sensibility with its own brand of humor and gory violence.
