Cameron Diaz talks about his 'Back in Action' co-star, Jamie Foxxsuffering a stroke while shooting the film.
The actors sat down for a recent interview to promote the new Netflix movie, and Diaz shared that learning about Fox's stroke “was scary” for anyone who loves the “Ray” star.

Cameron Diaz Says Jamie Foxx's Stroke Was 'Scary'
Diaz and Fox sat down for an interview with Additionally which dropped on Jan. 16, where the “Back in Action” star shared her feelings about Fox's stroke.
Fox was in Atlanta filming scenes for the movie when he suddenly suffered a headache and died. He later learned he had suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke, and the “Blame It” singer spent 20 days in a coma following emergency surgery. The 57-year-old man also had to learn to walk again at a rehabilitation center in Chicago.
Diaz and Fox have been friends for 25 years and have starred in two other films together, “Any Given Sunday” in 1999 and the 2014 remake of “Annie.”
Diaz said Fox was brave in sharing information about his stroke in his Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was…”

“For every person who knows Jamie, it was terrifying,” Diaz said. “For everyone who loves Jamie, the world, like, everyone was worried… I can't even imagine how he feels. I'm so proud of him, how brave he was to do his show, to let us all know. You're coming to him and he says, “Everybody's crying!”

Diaz says she's been honored to work with Foxx
Diaz had been retired from acting for 10 years before “Back in Action,” and the actress credited Foxx for bringing her out of retirement. level and create something so entertaining and fun for everyone that I was, I felt really honored to be able to do that and do it with Jamie,” she said.

Diaz says Foxx was “the only person” she would do another movie with
The “Charlie Angelus” actress has two children together with her husband, musician Benji Madden, and as previously reportedAn explosionDiaz credited Foxx as “the only person” who could have gotten her involved in another film.
“I think if I wanted to go back and make a movie, the only person I would go back and do it with would be this guy,” Diaz said. “Seriously. I had other opportunities along the way and I always said, 'No.' I don't, I told you… What? Jamie asked? Jamie? Oh, I can do a movie with Jamie! “

Foxx promised Diaz that they would have fun returning to action
Fox said that in order to get Diaz to agree to the film, he was “humble” and promised her that she would have fun making “Back in Action.”
“Listen, we were very humble in our request,” Fox recalled. “We were very respectful in our demand. There were a couple of promises. I said, 'I don't want your feet to touch the ground.' I want it to be fun for you.
Diaz added that she really had fun making the film and noted that Fox kept his promises.
“But even with that promise that he kept, he cared about me so much,” Diaz said. “It was really about knowing that if I was going to go away for 10 hours a day, leave my family, that I was going to work with the most talented man in show business. Professional, fantastic partner. I knew it would be worth the journey, whatever happens, and that we're going to have fun.”
