Taylor Swift is reportedly “confused” by Justin Baldoni's claims in his lawsuit

The source claims that the singer's relationship with Lively is purely friendship, with no intention of exerting any kind of “control” over the actress' projects.

Justin Baldoni's $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds include claims that Lively enlisted Taylor Swift, whom she called her “dragon,” to pressure the actor into revising the script.

According to Daily mailA source close to Swift has shared that the pop star is “distraught” after being embroiled in Baldoni's legal battle with Lively.

The insider explained, “Taylor is proud of the film because it featured her music, which gave her a sense of ownership, even though she wasn't fully aware of the development of the project.”

They emphasized that Swift's relationship with Blake is “purely friendship, with no interest in influencing or controlling Blake's projects.”

She also reportedly didn't plan to be there during Baldoni and Lively's meeting and just stopped by to visit her friend, but arrived while the meeting was still in progress.

The source also says that Swift “finds Justin's interpretation of the meeting confusing, and those close to her suspect that she is being put in the situation to target Blake.”

The controversy erupted when Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni, 40, of sexual harassment and creating a toxic work environment during the filming of “It Ends With Us.”

In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million counterclaim that included several shocking allegations. One of the most unexpected was that Lively enlisted her close friend Taylor Swift to pressure the actor after he raised concerns about some of Blake's script changes.

While Swift was not directly named in Baldoni's lawsuit, the actor included screenshots of text messages that appeared to indicate the singer's involvement.

In legal documents, Baldoni's attorney claimed that Lively asked if she could rework a key scene in “It Ends With Us” where their characters meet on a rooftop.

Baldoni reportedly agreed to revise her version, but was “hesitant” to use it because it “differed dramatically from what was originally written.”

However, he thanked Lively for her enthusiasm, but told her that “the storyline will probably end up somewhere between the original version and (Blake's) version.”

The documents say Lively later invited Baldoni to her home to discuss the rewrite, where her husband Ryan Reynolds “launched into enthusiastic praise” for Lively's stage version.

At the end of the meeting, a well-known, close friend of both Reynolds and Lively entered the room and similarly praised the script.

The lawsuit reveals that Baldoni later texted Lively to express her appreciation for the rewritten scene, saying, “I really like what you did. It really (helps) a lot. Makes it a lot more fun and interesting. And I would do it without feeling Ryan and Taylor.”

According to Baldoni's lawsuit, Lively responded to his message by comparing herself to “Game of Thrones” character Khaleesi and saying Reynolds and Swift were her “dragons.”

She told Baldoni: “If you ever watch Game of Thrones, you'll appreciate that I'm Khaleesi, and like her, I have a few dragons. Good or bad, but usually for the better. Because my dragons also protect those I care about.” fighting, so we'll all benefit from my awesome monsters, I can promise you.

In a notificationBaldoni's attorney, Brian Friedman, defended the suit.

He said it shows “an overwhelming amount of unadulterated evidence detailing a duplicitous attempt by Blake Lively and her team to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies through the media's distribution of grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and verified information.”

Friedman claimed that Lively was “either grossly misled by her team or willfully and knowingly misrepresented the truth.”

He emphasized that “Justin and his team have nothing to hide, the documents do not lie.”

In response to Baldoni's lawsuit, Lively's legal team issued a strong statement denouncing his filing as part of a broader abuse tactic.

They accused him of using a strategy known as “DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.”

The statement further criticized production company Wayfarer for allegedly using its “billionaire co-founder to issue media statements, launch non-profit lawsuits and threaten legal action to suppress the public's ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against allegations of sexual harassment.”

The aim, they claimed, was “to shift the narrative towards Ms Lively, falsely suggesting that she took creative control and alienated Mr Baldoni”.
