President Donald Trump's second inauguration is fast approaching, and he's turning to rappers for legitimization…again.

The first-ever Crypto Ball, hosted by David Sacks, Trump's new “AI and crypto czar,” took place on January 17 and featured performances by rappers Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and Soulja Boy. Black artists who show up to support the convict-in-chief always arouse community anger; however, this programming was particularly confusing. All three rappers have openly opposed Trump in recent years, leading many to question whether the controls were truly effective. that GOOD?

Many people took to media comment sections – with none of the men posting themselves at the event – to call out the hypocrisy and shenanigans of it all.

Another commenter had even harsher words:

Snoop, himself, has openly criticized black artists and people who publicly supported Donald Trump before his first term, calling them “jigaboos” and “Uncle Toms.” Perhaps his interest in cryptocurrency has overtaken his moral stance on what the president-elect stands for.
