In Chile! If “give credit where credit is due” had a face, it sure would Katta Williams. The comedian started 2024 with some viral comments, and now he's ending it the same way, claiming that he's basically the reason Steph Curry became the best shooter in the NBA.

Is Katta Williams taking credit for Steph Curry's hooping skills?
Kat Williams is cutting UP again on social media after video from the podcast resurfaced at the 2024 Vulture Festival in November. In the clip, Katz claims he's the one who got Steph Curry to start shooting deep 3-pointers before he even entered the NBA.
“Anyone who knows me knows I don't claim to know it. That's not part of doing it. It's doing what it is and letting it be. But I'm responsible for the best shooter in the NBA without a doubt! Kats said during a podcast interview.
The “Friday After Next” star posted a 30-second story at Vulture Fest to back up his claim. Katz said he met Stephen Curry before the NBA, when he hired him for a celebrity basketball game benefiting Children and Family Services of Los Angeles. He explained that he had arranged for Curry to join the team and even gave him $5,000 to play. No one knew who Curry was at the time, but when he got on the court, he started shooting from anywhere from half court to the 3-point line.
“Next year, next game, he scores 50 points.” I say, hey dude, you're here making $5,000 for a celebrity basketball game, but you're one of the greatest shooters that ever lived. Do you realize that if you take your game to the NBA, they either have to change something or you're going to be the greatest shooter that ever lived,” Katz continued.
Katz went on to say that he told Curry that if he could shoot before defenders even had time to react, he would be “the greatest shooter that ever lived.”
“Now I'm not saying he took that advice and went ahead with it, but he took my advice and went ahead with it,” Williams joked.
So far, Steph hasn't said anything about Katta's attitude toward her career.
