Kim Kardashian's most candid dating quotes after a breakup

Kim Kardashian has been open about dipping her toe back into the dating pool after her breakup over the years.

Kardashian initially befriended the producer Damon Thomaswith whom she was married for three years, until the couple broke up in 2003. Almost ten years later, Kardashian got engaged to Chris Humphreys in 2011 and exchanged vows later that year. Kardashian and Humphries decomposes after 72 days marriage, the divorce being finalized in April 2013.

Kardashian went further with Kanye Westwith whom she welcomed her daughter North in 2013. In 2014, the couple said “I do” and added son Saint, daughter Chicago, and son Psalm to their family in 2015, 2018, and 2019, respectively. After almost seven years of marriageKardashian filed for divorce from West in 2021.

The reality star was later linked to Saturday Night Lives Pete Davidsonwhom she met less than one yearbefore sparking romance rumors with Odell Beckham Jr. In May 2024, a source told exclusively Us Weekly that Kardashian and the NFL player are “taking a break to see each other.” Months later, a separate insider exclusively told We that Kardashian “has started dating someone new” and is “keeping it very secret.”

Being a hopeless romantic

Kardashian opened up about her mindset when it comes to dating on the May 2023 episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast. “I think I'll always be a hopeless romantic and I'll always want to be in love and I'll definitely love to share my life with somebody and I'll love to build a life with somebody,” Kardashian said.

Kardashian noted that she does not plan to rush into another relationship because it will affect her children.

“I'm definitely going to take my time, and I think there are so many factors, especially when you have kids and you're wary of the people that come into your life,” she said. “If I can look at everything I've done wrong and try not to make the same mistakes and really take my time, I think I just have to do it differently. It's obviously so hard to be here because how do you do it? There are so many factors, but I will always believe in love and always want it, and I think it's such a magical part of life. But I think I'm so comfortable taking my time so I don't rush it.

She added: “There's so much going on that I'm not alone and I think that's really important. I believe, like I always do. And I think that whatever is meant to be will come to pass.

Sneaking around

Kardashian said Scott Disick During the June 2023 series Kardashian that she wanted to “sneak around a bit.”

It's not 'delusional' to think that someone will 'check every box'

Reflecting on her ideal partner, Kardashian said on the February 2024 episode of SiriusXM's “This Life of Mine With James Corden” that she's “not so delusional knowing that someone will check every box.”

“(I'm looking for someone who is) responsible for actions,” she said. “Takes responsibility, (has) good teeth, knows how to hold his own and I don't have to babysit (them) all the time. Just a good, genuine person who is motivated and has his own motivation in life.

When asked if her quest to find her partner could end in marriage, she said: “I don't know. I really don't.

“There will be vibes where I'm just like, 'You know what?' I realize that my life is really big, and I realize that it takes a really, really, really special and unique person to want to deal with that,” she said. “I think my life is really fun and anyone who comes into my life is going to have a really good time, but it's a lot. I'm not lonely, so I'm fine. I have my kids, I have a job, I have my family, but it would be nice to share your life with someone, but if you do, it's so big… I don't take it lightly.”
