KKKim Kardashian is facing backlash for her Instagram Story amid Donald Trump's inauguration.
After not supporting either candidate in November's presidential election, the reality TV star appears to be expressing her allegiance now that Donald Trump has taken office.
On Monday, January 20, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a photo from Trump's inauguration. The film shows the president's wife, Melania Trump, getting out of a car to attend the event, wearing an overcoat and wide-brimmed hat. Kim didn't include any other context as to why she was sharing the photo, but fans on social media quickly interpreted it as support for Republicans.
“How many times does Kim K have to remind us that she voted for Donald Trump?” » asked a fan.
“Kim Kardashian is a weird girl because of those little 'I support Trump and Elon' hints she drops in her social media posts,” another user wrote. “Girl, go on with your business. We know you're already full of crap anyway.
Although Kardashian hasn't officially endorsed any of the candidates, the SKIMS founder has a history with Trump and his family.
Kim visited the White House to advocate for criminal justice reform during the convicted felon's first presidency. A month after his visit, the President pardoned Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for a first-time nonviolent drug offense.
Although she has worked with the reality star, it seems her subtle support isn't enough for Trump. According to the Independentin a Truth Social rant in November 2023, he called Kardashian “the most overrated celebrity in the world.” He admitted to having helped “with the commutation of prisoners”, but “only if he deserved it, and much more for Kanye West, Kim's ex-husband, than for Kim, who probably voted for Crooked Joe Biden “.
Supporting this man and his family just to have him call you overrated…okay, girl.
