“That includes the bathroom,” she told E! News in September 2022. “It's just one of those where, for better or worse, as a family and kids have all kinds of embodied bodily functions as a very standard norm.”
Mila said she made the decision after her family kept knocking on the door and asking to come in, prompting her to agree: “I was like, 'Oh, forget it. Just keep the open door.'”
Before kids, she might not have imagined she would eliminate this particular boundary.
She added: “I never thought I would be the person who could go to the bathroom with the door open.”
