Christina Cavallari calls life with Jay Cutler a bumpy road

Kristine Cavallari says her cohabiting relationship with her ex-husband Jay Cutler not precisely predictable.

“It's been so up and down,” Cavallari, 37, said on Monday's Dec. 30 episode. Bunny XO“Dumb Blonde” podcast. “Zero consistency, which is really hard. It hasn't been easy, to say the least.”

Cavallari divided from Cutler, 41, in 2020 after seven years of marriage. The couple have children together, Camden, 12, Jackson, 10, and Saylor, 9.

While Laguna Beach alum has no interest in returning to Cutler, she admitted Christmas and other significant events may lead to the fact that she lacks a strong family.

“I come from divorced parents and the last thing I ever wanted was a divorce,” she explained. “I'm not going to lie to you. It still flares up every now and then. (At Christmas) I felt it. It's just sad that we're not together as a family.

While Cavallari tries to preserve his children and family moments excluded from social mediashe recalled a positive memory where she was able to enjoy a drama-free afternoon with her kids and Cutler.

“At the beginning of the year, we were sitting together at a basketball game and I was like, 'Holy shit, this is the best thing that's ever happened. Jesus Christ, we did it. We can sit next to each other,' and we haven't sat together since,” she said with a laugh. “What the hell? It's a bumpy road.”

Since Cavallari and Cutler's divorce was finalized, the former Chicago Bears quarterback has done just that got engaged to Samantha Robertson.

As for Cavallari, she's still exploring the dating world after that divorce with Mark Estes in September after seven months of dating.

However, during her latest podcast, Cavallari teased that she might now have a former athlete in her life.

“I won't say what it is, and it's really new,” she shared. “He retired a couple of years ago and he has so much depth and I just love talking to him.”

Although life after divorce still has some challenges, Cavallari said she always tries to find the good in her reality. She hopes that positive attitude extends to her children as well.

“I think when you go through a divorce and you have kids, there are times when you feel crazy because you don't want to,” she explained. “There is also a lot of good from it. I think even for my kids it will make them stronger. I could list a thousand positive things, but I have moments like that.
