Brazilian influencer dies at 45 after receiving anesthesia for tattoo

The life of a Brazilian influencer was cut short.

Ricardo Godoiwho attracted an online following for posting social media content about luxury cars, died on January 20 at the age of 45 after being put under general anesthesia to have his entire back tattooed, according to the tattoo studio owner overseeing the procedure.

“What happened was that at the start of the sedation and intubation, he went into cardiac arrest,” said the studio owner, who described Godoi as a “great friend.” Daily Mail in an interview published on January 22. “This happened before they even started tattooing him. He was quickly examined and a cardiologist was called to try to resuscitate him, unfortunately without success.
